About Me
I started lampworking ( using a torch to melt glass) 12-25-05 with a basic kit my wife bought me for Christmas. It didn't take long for me to outgrow the basic kit and upgrade all the equipment. I started out using a workbench in my garage. I enjoyed it so much that I built a studio next to my garage within 6 months. I started out working Moretti glass (soft glass) and quickly took up working in Boro glass (hard glass). A large part of my business has become recycling old glass that is broken and otherwise unusable. I remelt at lot of glass from the Jabo Facotry Special Runs. This is where investors pay to run special colors to make their own 3/4" marbles. A lot of those marbles turn our with imperfections, and I remelt them into larger marbles.
I am now a full time glass artist with a business that is slowly growing. I plan one day to have a full glass gallery with a lampworking studio and Hot shop just for the making of marbles and teaching classes. My dream is to be able to offer free classes to school age kids to hope to peak interest into becoming Artist. My other hobbies include hiking, camping, nature, and photography. My wife's name is Therisa and I have 5 wonderfull kids Travis, Lexxis, Lauren, Janelle and Elijah.. Don't let me forget our dog Copper who is always by me while I work..
