I have recently started working on a project to save damaged marbles. It involves taking Jabo marbles that are damaged and remaking them into new looking, larger marbles. Jabo is a machine made marble manufacturer that is possibly going out of business this year. While they make some nice marbles, a large portion come out damaged with creases, dimples or full cracks in the marble. I slowly warm the marble up in my kiln and then rework the marble with my torch. It turns a otherwise useless piece of glass into a thing of beauty. Thanks for looking. |
